The UCI Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center aims to foster community, wellness, an open and inclusive environment for the campus community...
Safe Zone: Practice of Allyship is a series of three workshops for any of the UCI community to join. While attending all is not mandatory, we highly encourage folka to do so in order to help create their practice of allyship for the LGBTQ+ Community and to gather all educational material and resources offered throughout the three workshops. All workshops will be offered via Zoom, all links provided on the LGBTRC's website.
The LGBTRC Volunqueer Program is an opportunity for students to gain valuable leadership skills and cultural competency while contributing to the mission and vision of the LGBTRC.
Volunqueers are active members of the LGBTRC and collaborate with administrative and student staff so that the LGBTRC can serve its constituents through advisement, advocacy, program development, and outreach. Volunqueer hours typically consist of 2-3 hours per week and commit throughout the academic year. This is a non-paid position.
This fund benefits LGBTQ students who are in crisis. Sadly, and all to commonly, parents/guardians/family find out their child is LGBTQ and reject them, take away financial support, and leave them to fend for themselves. This fund is an emergency fund to help in these types of situations as a stop-gap while students work to set up financial aid to continue their education.
If you need support from the Christien Rodriguez fund, please contact any of the professioal staff:
