Gender Neutral Bathrooms

UCI has several gender neutral bathrooms (all person, all access) around campus. The gender neutral bathrooms are for ALL of our community members at UCI.

They promote the understanding and acceptance of all people: Transgender, Transsexual, Crossdresser, Agender, Gender Queer, Intersex, Two Spirit, Hijra, Kathoey, Drag King, Drag Queen, Queer, Lesbian, Gay, Straight, Butch, Femme, Faerie, Homosexual, Bisexual, Heterosexual, and of course - You!

The Intersex Initiative
Intersex Initiative (IPDX) is a Portland, Oregon based national activist and advocacy organization for people born with intersex conditions. Director Emi Koyama has been an intern-turned-staffer at Intersex Society of North America before founding Intersex Initiative in January 2003.

The Intersex Society of North America
The Intersex Society of North America (ISNA) is devoted to systemic change to end shame, secrecy, and unwanted genital surgeries for people born with an anatomy that someone decided is not standard for male or female.

National Transgender Advocacy Coalition
The National Transgender Advocacy Coalition works for the advancement of understanding and the attainment of full civil rights for all transgender, intersex and gender variant people.

Our Trans Children
Their intent is to provide an introduction to trans issues suitable for parents, family members and friends, as well as employers, counselors and anyone else interested, within or beyond PFLAG. They hope it may prove useful as well to those who are just beginning to question their own gender identity, and to assure them that there is support available in the larger community.

TransGenderCare
TransGenderCare contains a large archive of health information that they have written and compiled from their years of directly providing medical, psychological, electrology, and general health services to our transgender community. Whether you need to make informed heath care decisions for yourself or wish to understand more about a friend or loved one, we hope you find their online transgender health center helpful.

Transgender Day of Rememberance
The Transgender Day of Remembrance serves several purposes. It raises public awareness of hate crimes against transgender people, an action that current media doesn't perform. Day of Remembrance publicly mourns and honors the lives of our brothers and sisters who might otherwise be forgotten. Through the vigil, we express love and respect for our people in the face of national indifference and hatred. Day of Remembrance reminds non-transgender people that we are their sons, daughters, parents, friends and lovers. Day of Remembrance gives our allies a chance to step forward with us and stand in vigil, memorializing those of us who've died by anti-transgender violence.
