Ways to Get Involved

Speaker's Bureau

One of our most popular volunteer opportunities is sharing your experiences by speaking on panels as part of the Speaker's Bureau program.

The LGBT Resource Center welcomes students, staff, or faculty who are simply interested in associating and getting involved with the Resource Center. Volunteer service can range from one-time event volunteer to weekly or ongoing service within the Resource Center. Contact LGBT Resource Center staff with interests or ideas for volunteering.

Student Internships

Undergraduates or Graduate students can apply to intern with the LGBT Resource Center.  Internships vary each year based on LGBT Resource Center needs. Intern positions are paid, work 10 hours per week, and are held for the entire academic year.

LGBT Mentor Program

A program offered through the Counseling Center that provides personal one-on-one conversation. IT is a good opportunity to help someone who may be questioning, in the process of coming out, or fully our and looking for community. Mentors go through special training to ensure they will be prepared for any topic.
