The LGBTRC Volunqueer Program is a year long (fall, winter, spring) opportunity for students to gain valuable leadership skills and cultural competency while contributing to the mission and vision of the LGBTRC. Volunqueers are active members of the LGBTRC and collaborate with administrative and student staff so that the LGBTRC can serve its constituents through advisement, advocacy, program development, and outreach. Volunqueer hours consist of 3-5 hours per week and must commit throughout the academic year. This is a non-paid position.
Volunqueers responsibilities include:
Commit to 3-5 hours per week for the academic year and maintain availability on Monday nights from 5:00pm-7:00pm for meetings and educational trainings
Assist in Coming out Group & Peer Mentorship opportunities
Participate in personal and professional development activities.
Assist in LGBTRC visibility and social events such as tabling, open houses and mixers as necessary
Facilitate anonymous online chat sessions to support LGBTQQIA students through your personal experience, training, resources, and ongoing education
Support LGBTRC interns and staff with general office duties, and program support
